About Me

I am a psychotherapist, consultant, and educator. I have been practicing for over twenty-five years. My view of human growth and psychological healing is based in a spiritual perspective that holds that we are more than the sum of our parts. I am licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist in both California and New Mexico. I also have a doctorate in Transpersonal Psychology. My therapeutic focus is on in-the-moment lived experience as it is expressed verbally and non-verbally. I have found that accurately perceiving and reflecting what another is communicating, combined with gentle inquiry, while holding with them their longing to realize their essential being, are often sufficient to facilitate significant shifts in the way they relate to themselves and the world.

Who I work with

I like to work with people who are on the threshold of shifting the way they organize their internal worlds. We all carry habitual patterns of relating to ourselves and the world that can be self-limiting. At key moments, it becomes possible to unwind those patterns and discover new possibilities of experience. To witness and support this kind of transformation is deeply rewarding.

What I do

I follow my client’s unfolding process and track in-the-moment shifts toward greater coherence.  I offer support for clients to explore the edges of their inner worlds and discover previously unrecognized resources within. By reflecting what I am hearing and observing, asking deepening questions, and challenging self-imposed constraints, I guide clients to increase their awareness of how they construct their models of reality. If we work together, I will solicit your own intentions for your growth and invite you to take ownership of your choices.
